Prashant Kumar

Prashant Kumar is based in Mumbai, joined Warburg Pincus in 2007 and focuses on investments in India. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Kumar worked at Karsch Capital Management, a New York-based hedge fund, and at SUN Capital, an emerging markets focused private equity firm. He began his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company in India. Mr. Kumar holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from IIT Delhi, a post-graduate diploma in management from IIM Calcutta and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
