Purshotam Ramchandani leads The Abraaj Group’s strategic initiatives and oversees the Operations and Central Execution Team (CXT) function. He is also a member of the Firm’s Management Executive Committee. During the past eleven years at the Firm, Mr. Ramchandani has been involved in executing several key investments and has worked on the launch of several new funds. In 2009, he helped set up the Group’s Saudi office. He has 15 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Before joining The Abraaj Group, he was an Investment Banking Associate at Lehman Brothers in New York. Mr. Ramchandani graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he received the Harold Kubly Award for outstanding academic breadth and achievement, the Erwin Gaumnitz scholarship for academic excellence, and the University Bookstore Grant for the best undergraduate research paper from the School of Business and the School of Economics.
