Raúl Saraiva

Raúl G. Saraiva, PhD, is an Associate with Apple Tree Partners out of their London, UK, offices. He was previously an investment manager with the Life Sciences unit of Portugal Ventures, where he sat on the board of several Portuguese biotech companies developing unique and innovative therapeutic solutions for human diseases. Prior to that, he spent 10+ years in academic research focused on the early stages of drug discovery and/or development against infectious diseases. Dr. Saraiva graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology in 2018, and from Universidade do Porto with a BSc (2009) and a MSc (2011) in Biochemistry.
