Today, Mr. Sanquini works as an industry consultant, investor and board director with a strong reputation for helping to build young companies and prepare them for public offering and/or acquisition. Mr. Sanquini currently serves on the boards of Validity, LitePoint, Synaptics, R2 Semiconductor, and WaveConnex, and is the Chairman of Pixelworks. He also served as Chairman of PortalPlayer, the company that developed the silicon and operating system firmware for the Apple iPod. Prior to becoming a consultant and director, Mr. Sanquini worked at National Semiconductor, initially as vice president of microprocessors, microcontrollers, and peripherals with subsequent roles as senior vice president of the consumer and commercial division and as the company's chief technology officer.
