Robert Krohn is senior vice president and general manager of the Edge Software Business Unit at Juniper Networks. In this role, he oversees development of software products for the edge of the network for fixed and mobile service providers. Juniper’s portfolio of software products for the network edge includes L4-L7 services, mobility and media aware caching on the MX 3D routing platform as well as x86 appliances. Robert is also leading the development of a next-generation software services platform leveraging software defined networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) technologies. Robert has more than 20 years of systems engineering, management and executive experience spanning software, hardware and operations, across diverse product segments. He has a demonstrated track record of accomplishment in Silicon Valley high technology companies, including both start-ups and public companies.
