Robin Weisman is with IFC – part of the World Bank Group, where she leads teams to invest debt and equity in private sector high-growth mining projects in the emerging markets. She has managed a global portfolio where the total project cost has been over US$3 billion and worked on individual projects as large as US$1.2 billion. Robin Weisman has over 30 years of emerging market and finance experience, including work with Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank CBS, Inc. and a family-owned business. She led the advisory practice for in increasing local content for the extractive industries, and published the definitive guide on Getting Started in Local Procurement. Currently she is leading the gender work for IFC’s infrastructure and natural resource department.
