Mr. Gardhouse was the Group CFO of Detroit Electric, Inc., an innovative technology company, introducing a full range of high performance “all-electric vehicles.” He served as CEO and President of NextEnergy, a nonprofit dedicated to accelerating advanced energy technologies. His main career focus has been in the automotive industry over a 30 year period, serving in a succession of leadership positions including CEO of Microheat, Executive VP and CFO of Advanced Accessory Systems, Executive VP at Exide Technologies. He worked for DaimlerChrysler as VP, and prior to the merger, in a succession of senior level positions as President, Asia Pacific Operations; Assistant Corporate Treasurer; Deputy Managing Director, Chrysler, Mexico; and Assistant Corporate Controller. He began his career as a certified public account with Deloitte and Touche. Mr. Gardhouse holds bachelor and master degrees in business administration from Eastern Michigan University and Michigan State University,
