Rwanda Investment Group owns a 100,000-metric-ton cement manufacturing company, CIMERWA, with plans to upgrade, modernize and expand its current manufacturing capacity to meet local demand. It also owns Rwanda Energy Company, which is developing technology and a pilot plant to generate electricity from the methane gas in Lake Kivu.
