The company with its four subsidiaries RWE Renewables, RWE Generation, RWE Power and RWE Supply & Trading and a portfolio of around 46 gigawatts of generation capacity, the new RWE will in future deliver clean, safe and affordable electricity. The company intends to expand this position by investing up to 1.5 billion euros net annually in wind power on land and at sea, in photovoltaics and storage. RWE also generates electricity from hard coal and lignite, nuclear energy, gas, hydropower and biomass. The group will then employ around 20,000 people worldwide. RWE AG is based in Essen, Germany.
