Sam Kwon

Sam Kwon joined American Capital in 2015 and is a Managing Director in the New York office. Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. Kwon was a Principal at The Carlyle Group and a member of its Global Market Strategies team. While at Carlyle, Mr. Kwon focused on private debt transactions, sourced through equity sponsors and the bank market, for leveraged middle-market companies in a variety of sectors. Previously, Mr. Kwon was a Senior Associate at Lightyear Capital, a New York-based private equity fund. He began his career with UBS Investment Bank as an analyst in the M&A group. Mr. Kwon received a B.B.A from Emory University.
