Scott joined BNY Mellon in 2007 and is responsible for transaction sourcing, deal execution and monitoring of portfolio companies. Scott serves on the board of directors of Grindmaster Cecilware Corporation and EB Brands. Prior to Alcentra, a subsidiary of BNY Mellon, Scott spent three years with Islanet, a telecommunication service provider, recapitalizing the company, acquiring a competitor and launching a new product line and operating subsidiary. Prior to Islanet, Scott was an associate at a lower middle market private equity focused family office based in New York. In 1998, Scott was an analyst for the Bank of New York’s mezzanine and equity group, responsible for transaction execution, due diligence and portfolio company monitoring. Scott received his M.B.A. from Fordham University, (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and B.S. from New York University.
