As founding partner of Aurus Gestión de Inversiones. Mr. Furman was shareholder, comptroller and board member of Banco Internacional - an institution dedicated to SME financing in Chile. In 2007, Banco Internacional was acquired by a respected group of Chilean businessmen. Mr. Furman was a founding partner and board member of Salmones y Alimentos Mainstream S.A., a pioneer in the salmon industry in Chile. He participated actively in the development of the Company’s production units. The Company went public in 1993, and eventually the family's control was sold to Cultor, a Finnish group, in 1995. Previously, Mr. Furman spent forteen years as the commercial manager of Compañia Productora Nacional de Aceites (Coprona S.A.), a major local producer of edible oils and margarine.
