Shawn Luetchens has worked with emerging technology, internet, and clean tech companies for more than 15 years. He co-founded Saffron Hill Ventures with two partners in 2000 and has played a key role in building the firm for the past decade. Prior to co-founding Saffron Hill, Shawn worked as an investment principal for Tribune Ventures where he invested in seed stage through pre-IPO round financings for digital media, infrastructure, and commerce companies. Shawn served on the Board of four Tribune portfolio companies and established Tribune's first seed stage financing. From 1991-1994 Shawn worked for a private clean tech consulting firm based in Washington, DC where he managed projects focused on the development and financing of emerging technologies. Earlier in his career, Shawn worked as a Senior Project Manager for the US Environmental Protection Agency managing multi-million dollar technology research, design, and construction projects.
