It started with spending a few hours teaching a robot named Karel to navigate a screen, but quickly escalated to thousands of hours where I built an AI that beat me at board games, trained a neural net in high school, and even launched a Twitter clone on crypto rails (it raised a bit of funding before it shut it down). I studied computer science for eight years and spent every college summer in the Bay Area, eventually moving to San Francisco right after graduation. For as long as I can remember, it’s been clear to me that few things shape the world more profoundly than technology.
