Sohaib Abbasi is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Informatica since March 2005. Sohaib joined Informatica in July 2004 as President and Chief Executive Officer and served in that role until August 2015. Under Sohaib's leadership, Informatica grew five-fold to $1 billion in revenue and became the world's number one independent leader in data integration software. Software revenue from new products introduced under Sohaib’s leadership grew by a 10-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 50% to expand beyond the traditional ETL category. As a result, Informatica became the number one independent leader in data integration, data quality, MDM and cloud data integration. In addition, international revenues grew by a 10-year CAGR of 19% through global expansion of field operations. Under Sohaib’s leadership, the number of employees grew four-fold to 3,700 and the number of customers grew three-fold to over 6,000.
