The South East Growth Fund (SEGF) is a £30m venture capital fund committed to investing in fast growing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in South East England. The fund was established in October 2002 and since inception has backed 45 companies across a broad range of sectors and across all stages of company development, from Seed to Management Buy Out. With effect from October 2008 , SEGF reached the end of its investment period and is no longer seeking to make new investments. Instead, the SEGF team will focus on the support and development of those businesses in the portfolio, including investing further capital as necessary.
