Stelleo Tolda is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MercadoLibre, Inc. since April 1, 2009. In addition, he served as Country Manager in Brazil between 1999 and 2010. In the latter role MercadoLibre has led to his current leadership position in e-commerce in the country. Before joining MercadoLibre, Tolda worked in the financial market, with companies such as Lehman Brothers, Inc. in the U.S. and Banco Pactual and Banco Icatu, Brazil. With an MBA in school business administration from Stanford University, in the United States, the executive is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and also holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution. Born in Brazil, Tolda speaks fluent English, Spanish and French as well as Portuguese.
