Stephen Fitzpatrick is founder and CEO of Vertical Aerospace and OVO Energy. Recognising the potential of EVTOLs to transform air travel, Fitzpatrick resolved to bring together the best technologies from aviation, energy and automobile industries. Today, the company is closing in on its mission of decarbonising flight. A serial entrepreneur, Stephen Fitzpatrick believes in the power of human ingenuity, directing his attention to forming businesses that solve the world’s biggest problems. In 2009 he founded OVO Energy, overseeing its growth to the biggest independent provider of power in the UK, offering customers energy that is cheaper, cleaner and simpler than rivals. Stephen Fitzpatrick’s expansive experience, as founder of an energy company and former owner of F1 team, Manor Racing, led to his setting up Vertical Aerospace. In 2021 the company announced conditional pre-orders for 1,350 aircraft from American Airlines, Avolon, Virgin Atlantic, Marubeni Corp, Iberojet and Bristow G
