Steve Brooks is a Partner of NewRoad Ventures. Prior to joining NewRoad Ventures, he was a partner in the mergers and acquisitions and private equity practice group with Friday Eldredge & Clark, Arkansas’ largest law firm from 2003 until 2013. Mr. Brooks represented clients across the U.S. in private offerings of securities; structuring private equity funds and offerings; acquisitions and divestitures, individual, corporate, and partnership tax matters; investment and commercial lending transactions; and planning for early-stage companies. Prior to the Friday law firm, Mr. Brooks practiced as a CPA in the tax section of Frost PLLC, Arkansas’ largest public accounting firm and was senior tax accountant with Tyson Foods, Inc. He graduated from the Walton College of Business in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as an accounting major, and graduated from law school at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville Cum Laude in 2003.
