Steve Kuhn is an American financial executive with over 20 years of experience. He is Partner at Pine River Capital Management LP. Kuhn has previously held positions at Cargill, Citadel LLC and Goldman Sachs. Steve Kuhn matriculated at Harvard and studied game theory, statistics, and microeconomics, earning his bachelor's degree in economics with honors in 1991. After completing his degree in 1991, Steve Kuhn accepted a position with Cargill as a mortgage-backed securities trader. He later joined Citadel Investment Group as a trader of Japanese convertible bonds. After leaving Citadel, he transitioned to Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he became a vice president and portfolio manager. In 2008, Steve Kuhn joined Pine River Capital Management as the head of Fixed Income Trading. Steve Kuhn received full partner status at Pine River in 2009.
