Steve is a Board Partner at Upfront Ventures. He is also an active private equity investor and the Founder and President of AMRI Financial, Inc., a financial advisory firm working on special situation equity and debt financing, and Roundhouse Capital, LLC, a licensed California Lender that makes secured loans. He serves on the board of and is the former Chairman of Hamilton State Bancshares, a Georgia-based $2.0 billion bank focused on acquiring failed banks from the FDIC. From 2009-2011, Steve was a Professor at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, teaching courses on the banking system and financial crises. In January of 2008, Steve was appointed to be a Senior Advisor to U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson. In that capacity, and throughout the 2008/09 financial crisis, he provided counsel on a variety of financial, capital market and economic policy issues.
