Dr. Steve Yang, Partner, joined CID Group in 2012 and is leading Semiconductor investment of CID Group . Prior to joining CID Group, Dr. Yang was the Assistant to Chairman of MStar Semiconductor, Inc., a global leader in supplying application specific ICs (ASIC) for the consumer and communication product markets, headquartered in ChuPei (Hsinchu Hsien), Taiwan. He assisted the company in managing the advanced RD for new technologies as well setup structured RD methodology and organization, for TV/Set-top Box/Cellular products. Previously Dr. Yang served as the president and founder of MStar over a period of 8 years. During his tenure, the company grew from 22 people to over 3000 people in short 10 years with revenue over US$1.2 billion in year 2011 with a market cap over US$3.2 billion in May 2012. Prior to joining System General Corporation in 2001 and founding MStar in 2002, he was a Director of Mixed-Signal Design Division at Worldwide Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (WSMC)
