Sumit has experience spanning various sectors including media & telecommunications, internet, education, consumer products & services, oil & gas and energy in operational and advisory roles. He is actively involved with advising early stage start companies in Internet, Cleantech and Education. He is also closely associated with various incubation centres and their mentoring initiatives. Prior to joining IndoUS Venture Partners in 2009, Sumit worked with HSBC India as part of their Investment Banking team and was instrumental in executing various transactions in M&A, Capital Markets and LBOs. He played a key role in several successful cross border M&A and Joint Venture transactions involving large Indian conglomerates. Earlier, he worked with British Gas India across their subsidiaries in various roles including operations, strategy and commercial.
