About
Starting straight out of university Susan co-founded a number of companies, first a partnership designing & manufacturing lead light panels, then a sporting goods manufacturing & distribution business, then an award-winning restaurant. Early involvement with Vega Industries resulted in strategic experience of successful global sales expansion, and combined with personal experience in stock market investment lead to a keen eye for business analysis and the value of hands-on involvement. Her experience with start up businesses has lead to an interest in investment in early-stage companies, and her financial successes allowed her to enter into the venture capital scene as an Angel Investor. In this role, Susan has assisted Kaynemaile with its early funding and as a director, as well as having an active involvement with Azion. Susan is an active member of the New Zealand early-stage venture finance community and is on the board of Angel HQ and Angel HQ Nominees.
