Tarana Lalwani has fourteen years of experience in finance, corporate advisory and business development. She started her career in New York with Morgan Stanley, followed by Radian, a financial services firm in their structured finance group. Tarana moved to India in 2006 to manage the fund raising efforts of Webaroo(SMS Gupshup), a mobile internet start up incubated at IIT Mumbai. Tarana worked as a senior adviser with Sky Advance, a boutique private equity firm in Mumbai, and successfully closed transactions in various sectors thereby acquiring a better understanding of investing and deal management in Asia/India. She also consulted an education start-up based in Mumbai, where she helped identify opportunities in the education sector and narrow their strategic focus to professional training and pre-schools.
