Tariq is well-known in the financial markets for applying securitisation technology to operating assets to create long-dated funding structures or as a means of acquisition finance. Since 2004, he has run a family-owned private equity firm, Morningstar Capital, which acquired the once venerable Compañía de Filipinas (Spain) to create CdF International Group (Netherlands). As Chairman, he helped grow the business significantly before it was acquired by Hail & Cotton (USA) where he remains a Board Director. Previously, he was Head of Securitisation and Asset Finance at Nomura (London), Global Head of Securitisation at ABN AMRO (London), and Managing Director at S&P (New York). Tariq served as a Non-Executive Director of Majid Al Futtaim Properties (Dubai) and was Chairman of the Audit Committee.
