After studying business administration at the University of Mannheim, Dr. Ing. Ruffle on the subject of "Consulting Banking" with Prof. Wolfram Engels at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. He then spent two years working for a management consultancy. Since 1990 he has been working for the Deutsche Bank Group, initially in Frankfurt in the Strategy Corporate Banking and Credit Risk Management. He then served as Senior Relationship Manager for structured finance in London, and from 1997 to 2000 was head of division responsible for corporate banking in continental Europe outside Germany. From July 2000 to June 2003 he was Deputy Country Manager and then Country Manager of Deutsche Bank in Italy. Subsequently, until the beginning of 2011 he was globally responsible for Asset Finance & Leasing at Deutsche Bank's Corporate & Investment Bank.
