Tim April was appointed Managing Director, Fund Investments for BDC Venture Capital in 2008. He is responsible for managing BDC's portfolio of funds and its investment strategy in Canada Tim has almost 20 years of experience in the high-technology industry and 10 years as venture capitalist. He has been with BDC since 2002. Prior to his current role, he was with BDC's Venture Capital direct investment group for five years, specializing primarily in the semiconductor and electronics sector, where he participated in the financing and management of numerous technology companies. Before joining BDC, he held various positions in engineering, sales, business development and management with Servo Robot, Texas Instruments, LSI Logic Corp., LSI Europe, Broadcom Corp., and Multilink Technology Corp. Tim holds a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Management Studies from McGill University.
