Tom is a General Partner with the Highland Consumer Fund and has more than 20 years of both public and private company experience as an entrepreneur, finance and operations executive in consumer-facing businesses. Tom serves on the boards of Castor & Pollux Pet Works, O Beverages and Pacific Pathway. Background Prior to joining Highland, Tom was co-founder of Decision Matrix Group, Inc. (“DMG”). DMG was founded in 2004 as an investment vehicle focused on the Information Services industry. The company owned and operated Yankee Group Research, Inc., one of the world's leading networking and communications research and consulting firms and seeded and incubated a start-up consumer-based research firm. DMG/Yankee Group was successfully sold in November 2005. Prior to DMG, Tom was one of the first employees of Lycos, serving at various times as the COO, CFO and Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and M&A.
