About
Ulf joined 3i Germany in 2001 and was appointed joint Managing Director of Germany in May 2009. He started his career with Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in the US, working with clients in the Industrial goods, Materials and Automotive industries. He headed Fraunhofer’s Boston operations before joining the Boston Consulting Group in their Industrial goods practice. Ulf has worked on a number of Private Equity transactions at 3i and is responsible for 3i’s global Industrial sector. His most recent deals include Q Holding, Dynatect, GIF and GEKA. He currently sits on the Boards of Q Holding, GIF and GEKA. He has also recently worked on the exits of Hilite, MoldMasters and NORMA. Ulf studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH), where he also received a PhD. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the distance university Hagen.
