Uli Hegge (born '66) started, while attending Law School in Muenster, "DaWIN" in 1991 - then one of the biggest European Internet projects with the German Scientific Network DFN. With other partners he founded the computer trade magazine "UpToDate" (80,000 circulation). After graduating from Law School he was co-responsible for setting up online activities with both the German newspaper “Schweriner Zeitung” (Burda) in 1994 and from 1995 at Gruner & Jahr. He started stern.de (http://stern.de) and conceptualized Fireball (leading German Web search engine, became part of Lycos Europe). In 1997 he was appointed Member of Management Board at G+J EMS. In 1998 Hegge co-founded and lead e-dict (eCommerce entertainment applications - sold to Gauselmann Group) as Managing Partner. In 1999 he co-founded wunderloop and headed the company as CEO until 2008.
