Founded in 2000, ViewPoint Capital Partners was the first private equity firm in Europe specializing exclusively on mature software technology companies in the growth capital segment. ViewPoint raised two funds, namely ViewPoint Ventures I in 2000/01 and ViewPoint Growth II in 2007/08 with total assets under management of €160m. ViewPoint Ventures I invested into IMPRESS (today Trinovis), Interactive Objects, RedDot (acquired by Hummingbird in 2005, today Opentext), FERNBACH (sold back to founder in 2015), mental images (acquired by Nvidia in 2007), ASDIS (today Auconet), arcplan (acquired by LongView Solutions in 2015) and Aquin (acquired by State Street/PFS in 2008).
