Mr. Lissin is a trained geological engineer with extensive experience in government agencies responsible for natural resource sector. In his career to date (10 years and counting), Mr. Lissin held management-level positions at Samruk-Kazyna ($84 billion of assets under management), Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund (Chief Expert with Mining Assets Department), and SEC Saryarka, an SOE (development institution) that is a major player in early-stage mining projects and key JV partner of the Fund. Before joining SEC Saryarka, Mr. Lissin had served as Head of Subsurface Use, Licensing and Monitoring Department in the administration of Karaganda Province, the centre of Kazakhstan’s coal-mining industry.
