About
Walter Nicholas Howley founded the TransDigm group in 1993. Today he serves as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of TransDigm Group Inc. and TransDigm Holdings. Under Howley’s leadership, TransDigm has become a leading supplier of highly engineered aerospace components, systems, and subsystems. TransDigm products are used by nearly all commercial and military aircraft in service today. Having earned an undergraduate degree in Engineering from Drexel University, and an MBA from Harvard University, Nick devotes many hours to philanthropic activities. He is one of the founders of The Howley Foundation, and he serves as Chairman of the Cristo Rey Network Board, which assists thousands of economically disadvantaged students. He has served on several non-profit boards, including Case Western Reserve University, The Cleveland Clinic, and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
