Yan Li is the CEO at Niu.com. He joined KKR Capstone in 2009. Prior to joining KKR Capstone, Dr. Li was with McKinsey & Company, where he advised various companies in telecom, high-tech, industrial goods and retail sectors. Prior to McKinsey, Dr. Li worked as a senior systems engineer at Qualcomm Inc., led the development of advanced signal processing algorithms for 3G and 4G cellular systems, and holds three US patents in 3G systems. At KKR Capstone, he has been actively involved in KKR portfolio companies including China Modern Dairy, VATS Liquor and United Envirotech on numbers of operational initiatives focusing on sales improvement and cost reduction. Dr. Li also co-leads the KKR's Green Portfolio Program in Asia, which focuses on driving profitable environmental programs in KKR's portfolio companies. He holds a B.S. from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
