Yukihiro Matsumoto

Yukihiro Matsumoto is a Japanese open source programmer and Heroku's Chief Architect of Ruby. He has taken roles since 2007 as a fellow of Network Applied Communication Laboratory (NaCl), a fellow of Rakuten Institute of Technology, and a chairman of Ruby Association. In 1993, he started to design and develop the Ruby programming language. Since 1997, he has been living in Shimane prefecture.
