Mr. Zev S. Scherl PhD is a General Partner of NewSpring Capital and NewSpring Health Capital, II, L.P. Mr. Scherl joined NewSpring Capital in 2003 is also a General Partner at Commerce Health Ventures since December 2003. He serves as Vice President of FirstMark Capital, L.L.C., FirstMark III, L.P. and of FirstMark IV, L.P. He has a significant experience in principal investing, corporate management and finance, focused exclusively in the life sciences and healthcare industries. Mr. Scherl served as a Vice President at Pequot Ventures. Within Pequot Ventures, he originated and successfully executed investments in emerging life sciences and healthcare companies, whose technologies include (but are not limited to) computational genomics, diabetes and orthopedics, and served on many corporate Boards.
